Traditional Farm Turkeys
This season, we are excited to offer two unique varieties of turkey chicks: The Roly Poly and The Wrolstad.
The Roly Poly is a small-finish breed, while the Wrolstad is a medium-to-large finish breed. Both have been allowed to mature over an extended period, ensuring the full, rich flavour of these white and bronze birds, nearly twice as long as the average supermarket turkey.
Our turkeys are fed a complete, natural diet supplemented with barley straight from the farm. No growth enhancers or steroids—just wholesome, farm-grown ingredients.
From 2024, our birds are housed in a brand-new turkey shed designed for space and enrichment. They have room to roam, bales of hay to jump on, and hanging vegetables to peck at and play with.
Why no longer outdoors?
The simple answer is bird flu. Changing weather and climate conditions have made outdoor rearing risky. In 2022, we lost chicks in Wales before they even reached us. While we successfully reared them in 2023, cases of bird flu reported just 10 miles away prompted us to invest in a safe, custom shed from 2024.
